G02 X4 M40i Comparison Shots vs 1st Gen X4

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
The only comparison photos of the 2nd Gen G02 X4 vs the 1st Gen X4. The 2nd Gen G02 X4 loses the round fogs and gets the G30 5 Series LED fogs. Also much larger Kidneys on 2nd Gen X4. I see a few Aero Vanes in the Side Air Intakes....M2 like "Aero Fangs" for the M40i X4??

Also, the new "M" Blue Multi Piston Front Brake Calipers on the M40i X4. The G02 X4 is clearly a much larger, longer wheelbase vehicle than the 1st Gen X4....Lots of work on new G02 X4 around the Rear Hatch C/D Pillars...maybe a useable rear seat compartment.

In real life...on the ground in traffic....the new G02 X4 looks like a shrunk X6. Leave it to PalBay/PalBay Spyshots to dig out the details.....Thanks. PalBay

BMWs general approach is to release the full M variants 8-12 months after the regular models are released... just my observation tho.

Ummm GLC 63 AMG S Coupe anyone?

Hope not really dislike the GLC rear, other than that the GLC looks better.

2018 Bmw X4 - M40i

I'm new to posting, never posted in a forum before. I just purchased a 2018 BMW X4 - M40I over the weekend and I love it. Amazing difference between Comfort and SPORT mode. I haven't even messed with ECO mode. I had a 2014 428i convertible but after 2.5 years of a squeak in the convertible top that they were unable to fix, BMW is buying it back. I should be saying goodbye to her next week. Anyway, just thought I'd share how happy I am with my new M40i.

Wow, going from 428i drop top to X4 40i is quite the whip-lash lol!

Welcome to the board. Enjoy the X4!

Thank you for the welcome, I'm trying to figure these boards out (haha). Surprisingly the twin turbo in the 428i was pretty quick. But indeed, sport in the X4 M40i does snap your head back when taking off at a start to get the jump on someone off the line!

They both have twin-scroll single turbos.

I'd go nuts with that top problem.

Congrats on the new whip!
