Tint Bubbles..please help.

I just had my windows tinted this afternoon with 20% in front and back. When I picked the car up it had the bubble look at the top of the rear window, around the periphery of the back windows, and the back edge of the fronts. The tint shop guy told me the rear window bubble would go away soon.

Should the spaces in between the dots at the top of the rear window darken up soon or what is normal?

I've never had very good results with black paint dot areas with tint.

Here's the advice my tinter gave me... The dot matrix is difficult. It'll probably never look "perfect". Give the bubbles at least a week of good sunlight, especially if you have ceramic tints. As the film is porous, the bubbles should go away as time progresses, especially in sunlight. If they don't go away in a couple of weeks, or if the bubbles have a particularly silver look to them, take it back to the installer.

Yes, just got my windows done today. Let the film about a week to "cure". After a week go back to the shop and they would work the area around dot matrix on your windows to make it stick a little better.

but do not panic, tint takes about a week to cure and get better. and no, areas round the dot matrix will never be perfect.

the film doesn't "cure".
What happens is that when the film is applied, either a soap or alcohol solution is sprayed on the glass first, and then the film is slid into position and the solution and air is squeezed out (squeegy)-- what is left behind is often areas that are "foggy" or hazy, and usually in areas of relief. Over time (the manufacturer says 48 hours, but it is really more like a couple weeks) this haziness disappears. The solution (which causes this) needs to be absorbed into the adhesive of the film.

yes time and sun is good but it still wont help on a dot matrix.. you will still see the bubbles. just press them out yourself the best you can right now while its fresh.. cause they can not fix it correctly it will still bubble up.. i tried 3 times but still no perfect tint....

I got my windows tinted last June in LA, then I came to Phoenix and been here ever since.....I think I can safely say I've given my car enough time in the sun and the dot matrix over the back window still looks like crap.....Finally goin home next week so I was planning on having them fix it then.....
