2010 320D fuel pump warning light?

Hi guys,

I have had absolutely no problems with my Bmw 320 2010 for quite some time,

However only recently I have heard a slight whirring while driving and goes in tune with the revs of the engine (low revs no whir, high revs louder whir. After another month or so my fuel pump warning light has come on.

The car in my opinion hasn't lost any power but there is definatly a noise coming from the engine bay.

I have had a obd reader check the fault and attempted to reset it but has come straight back on.

What would you suggest to do to try and resolve the problem as my current thought is that these could be the following issue:
Injectors
Fuel filter
Hpfp
Fuel pump next to tank
Faulty sensor

Can anybody help as a hpfp is not cheap!

Thank guys!

That is not a BMW specific nor a generic code.

EKPS is the fuel pump module. But like Yozh said, those aren't the right codes. Get it plugged in again and let us know. But with those 3 letters, it looks like a fuel pump problem of sorts.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but this is exactly what happened to me. I'm not getting any actual codes, but these are the errors that happen on my car.
I'd be driving and then my car would go into limp mode and make me pull over. After that, I get a yellow car on jack warning light and my car will only click but not start. After 15/20 minutes my car will start up and drive like normal.
I was thinking about just replacing the fuel pump. Any word of advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽
