Does anyone know the difference other than the discs on M cars?
I had an M4 for the day on Wednesday and the brakes just felt so much better.

Compared to what though? They have bigger discs and the 4pot front, 2 pot rear Brembo's. But you can have the m sport brakes on non M vehicles. I have them on my 320d m sport.

Calipers are the same, discs are true two piece floating discs though and the pads are a different compound.

Teaston, is there nothing you don't know about the 3er? Your knowledge astounds.

And better air ducting for cooling, hence why no foglights perhaps.

Coding is also different in terms of how much brake is applied front and back. If you know someone who can code then you can code your standard brakes to have more of an M response. Knew a guy off here but hasn't been on for a year. May be someone else can help?

I reckon upgrade discs, pads and, code.

Are you planning retested in the differences, or do you want to upgrade your brakes ?

Can the 'M' two piece discs be used with the M sport / M Performance brakes because the calipers are the same? Would it improve stopping power?

No, they're 10mm larger.

The M3 hubs have different mounting points for the caliper to allow for the larger discs.

It's fair to say, Will, that the answer to your question is no

If only BMW dealers had Teastons rather than Geniuses/Genii.....

I have tried M2 and M3 on road and track - out of the box, F8x brakes are way better than F2x and F3x M sport as you'd expect.

I'm running MPBBK 370/345 discs on my m135i using F8x sport pads upfront. Also have F8x arms [LCA and TS] which have much better bushes so geo stability and feel are better when turning and braking.

These OEM upgardes give me brakes act and feel more akin to F8x than M135i.
