The F30 N47 forums are so dead it's not even funny! I'm getting a full DPF delete straight pipe in the next few months and I'm going to see if I can get a coal switch installed also, it seems the only issue with coal or a switch is it could clog the DPF and/or resonators, but with out them there I see no other issue after proper tuning. Here is an insane example of what I wish I could pull off in my 328d.

While not as good as the first, here's another powerful 335d throwing some smoke!

I don't think injectors like coal switches..

If you still have a dpf and you are rolling that hard I would wonder what it would look like without!

Is that tuned??

As far as I know, you can't roll coal with a dpf. And if you tried, it would clog it very fast. Switches are only meant to be used for short periods of time for like 30 seconds or less

Your car, do what you want. I doubt 99% of the people here have any issues with deleted diesels, but straight up rolling coal just for the sake of it is a bad idea for performance. Let's note that the black smoke/"coal" you see is unburnt fuel being pushed out of the cylinders on the exhaust stroke. If the fuel isn't igniting, you aren't getting any power from it. So you're gonna lose power for the sake of, something?

Most of us here with tunes will smoke a little bit, but that's typically because our turbos are at/near maxed and we can't force any more air in to mix with the fuel to ignite fully. So it results in smoke.

Yeah I'm aware of what causes the smoke. I just like it for playing around.

Thank you lol finally someone that agrees. It would also be nice for the diesel trucks that roll on you because we're in nice sport cars. It would be nice to fly past them and roll a cloud on them and see the look on their face lol

The only way i see it being done to a NA (North American) 335d is:

#1 to have xhp tune for transmission and then stay in like 5th or 6th gear in manual mode obviously as well as

#2 disconnecting and leaving it open - bypass small/top turbo valve, the one that directs air to larger turbo after certain Rpm/boost, to make "NO LOW RPM BOOST" scenario and hope itll do it!!)) ***If someone know how to play around with this valve settings trough coding or in any other way digitally please let me know!

And of course you better have a straight pipe or the very least be "straight" through with all exhaust bullsh
