Economy difference between comfort and sport

Hi guys I have a 430d and wondered if anyone had done a comparison between fuel economy in comfort mode and sport mode.

I much prefer the drive in sport mode but need a decent mpg so I'm not out of pocket when using the car for work (employer covers my fuel per mile) so tent to leave it in comfort.

Anyone know if there is there much difference?

Not really much difference if you know how to drive economically in the first place.

You could try driving in sport mode and manual, that way you don't have to allow the engine to rev so high in each gear before changing. If you were to do this and shift conservatively, you could still achieve more or less the same MPG - the difference being the car will be far more alive when you decide to feed it some fuel.
