Spacers
Chaps
I'm in the process of buying a set of 19" 403m (non staggered) for my 2013 F30 320D just wondered would these look and fit better if i added spacers? If so what would people recommend for sizes front and back? Ive seen the wheels when they come in line with the arches which i like the look of the stance Any info appreciated |

If you haven't bought them yet then I'd recommend buying staggered instead and then using spacers.
Some, me included, run 10/12mm F/R whilst others prefer 12/15. Staggered would give more presence at the rear, although some may say that 255 rear tyres on a 320D is overkill. Depends what look you are trying to achieve.

I have 12mm all round but with a staggered set up which looks good, not too much poke. So guess with a non staggered set up 12mm front 15mm rear would be about flush.
Think that the 225 or 235x40x19 all round would probably be a good set up |

Eibach spacers for me. Got mine from Lorcan at ACS inc longer bolts & lockers. Others use H&R but have no experience of them and no not all are the same. I personally will only use good brands and hubcentric types

Just find this out They are original BMW 403M wheels - so they are wider at the rear than the front! They are: Front: 8 J x 19. Rear: 8.5 J x 19 |

Loads of threads on this subject if you search. One from myself somewhere that includes pictures.
I fitted 12f 15r albeit with 20"s. While I'm happy with them, for me personally if I was doing so again I'd do 10 on the front rather than 12 as it's just ever so slightly a bit much with 12's. All personal taste of course. Eibach for me too. Slightly more expensive but fill out the hub completely unlike some cheaper ones. Contact Lorcan on here. Also it's worth remembering the type of tyres i.e. Rim protection you have will make a difference to the poke. |

It really depends on how you want it to look. I had 12/15mm front/rear and it does bring the wheels out in the arches, but they're still just a tad inside.
Swapped the rear out for some 20mm spacers (I like a bit of poke) and really happy with how it sits now. Debating going for 15s on the front instead of the 12s too. |

Strutt320D I'll get some pics of mine up tonight once I get home so you can see how they sit, I've got 403m wheels too so should give you a good idea on what 12mm spacers sit like on the front, and what 20mm sits like on the rear.

I've not really given much thought to spacers... out of interest, apart from visual, do they make the car handle any differently in the corners, i.e., does it roll less?

I don't think as long as they are fitted correctly and balanced there are any issues with having them on the car

Maybe slightly better round corners but it's really all about the visuals. It really does make a substantial difference to the look. Only real downside is it does make the tyres throw a bit more debris down the wings. Could be purely coincidence but I've noticed a few minor chips/scratches on the doors in the 2 months since fitting with nothing at all in those areas in the previous 2+ years. |

I'm planning on changing my car at the end of the year, so not sure I'll take the plunge. If I decide to get a 440i Coupe, I'm wondering would the spacers fit it, or not?! If they will transfer to a 440i I might very well get a set. From what I've read, I'd probably go for 10mm front and either 12 or 15 for the rear. Mmm, I'm thinking about this now...

Pretty sure while most people go for 15mm at the rear of an 3er it's at least 20mm at the rear of a 4er. As I said you might want to search and check that as I'm not 100% sure. |
