To everyone with rolled fenders or rubbing issues.

There is a tiny piece of metal that protrudes where the the rear bumper and quarter panel meet. . . . right at the seam. Use a Dremel tool with a sanding bit on, to easily sand that piece of metal down. Takes about a minute or two at most for each side. You dont have to remove the wheel or do anything else. I'll post pics tomorrow.

I dont rub in the front or rear but at times, only my rear left tire would rub briefly during a hard turn or high speed dip. We found the culprit to be that little piece of metal in that one spot. Since the fender rolling device cannot start below that point because the bumper is plastic, it has to start just above the seam, leaving that tiny piece un-rolled. Now, after about 3-4 minutes of probably one of the easiest things I've done, I have absolutely zero rubbing. I took a friend for a spin on the toll road and through some areas/turns that normally would have caused some rubbing, and now, there is no rubbing what so ever.

It's really nice to cruise with 20x10 wheels in the rear and have no rubbing issues at all, yet still have an aggressive stance/offset. BTW, my alignment was done by Darren at West End Alignment in LA, specifically for my suspension/wheel/tire set up and both Darren and I made it clear in the beginning of the alignment process that my alignment was going to be done to optimize the performance and get the best quality out of the ride, and NOT for 0 clearance and rubbing. Might I add, he did a great job and really knows his stuff. His lifts are great for lowered cars too! They have really really shallow ramps to get onto the lifts.

Anyway, just thought I'd share this little bit of info and how it can very easily be improved/fixed.

Nice find! Did you need to clearcoat (or paint) where you sanded to prevent any rust? I know which piece you're talking about, and was concerned about it myself. Just wasn't sure if you needed to treat the exposed metal afterwards or not.

Thanks!

I might just go over that spot with some touch up paint, only for the sake of rust prevention and obviously nothing for cosmetics. I dont think you would need to treat it unless you live in a very wet region because as for me. . . the only time my fenders get wet are when I wash them, but I also dry them within the same hour. . . . or the few times it rains here a year. So I dont see rust being a huge issues, but it's so simple to paint that spot with a touch up pen that you might as well do it.
