335D Smoking

Hello,

So my 2007 335D pumps out thick white (Blue so I have been told) smoke. Fine when it's idle but soon as you give it some revs it pumps it out with a smell of fuel/oil. Still drives fine and have power but unable to do so as it leaves a trail of fog and smell.

The AA guy said could be the injectors and I should do a leak off test, any ideas where I could get one of these done and are they expensive?

Couple of garages I have spoken to straight away said I need new turbo but I don't fancy spending that kind of cash on repair and rather get a new motor.

Any help will be much appreciated,

Thanks

T

if it was your turbo it would be black smoke. u would literally leave a black trail. leak off test shouldnt be expensive if you are handy with things like that you can grab a leak off tester on ebay for about £40 loads of videos on youtube instructing how to do it.

Here is a video I found on youtube showing how to do it apart from this being for petrol.

Same procedure just different codes , link below

The diesel injector codes will be on the top of the injector not on the stem like petrol injectors. I have attached a picture.

Thanks for that, will check it out.

Are those values visible if i remove the engine cover or do the injectors need to be pulled? Do you know?
