My 2017 G30 didn't come with remote control parking. Does anyone know if this feature can be retrofitted? I have all three driving assistance packages.

If you have 360 view cameras and PDC. You can have it coded but, you will need to purchase a display key.

My friend has all the above options including the display key, what is needed on top of that to enable remote parking?

Local dealer had said that not possible.... Which I didn't believe as all the needed hw should be there.

The following options are needed for remote parking according to the G30 technical manuals (Driver Assistance Systems manual available in the sticky on the main G30 general chat forum):

Those options contain all of the required hardware, I didn't know comfort access was required but apparently the comfort access antenna is needed for the RC parking

I have just noticed - there is another antenna solely for RC parking mounted in the boot/trunk lid.

It appears to only be installed in cars with RC parking based on the wording on RealOEM.

Therefore, you will not be able to simply code the feature -new hardware will be required.

Assuming you have all the prerequisites, you would need the antenna, the wiring/connector (61119861132), and of course, the new display key remote with the Remote Parking button.

Just bringing up an old thread, so technically, I didnt purchase the g30 yet as the market is a bit low on inventory but just doing some research on the car in the mean time.

With that being said, looks like to do the retrofit, the additional hardware it needs are:
aerial antenna in the rear bumper and remote control receiver. As far as wiring goes, they both go into the BDC. Again, this is just from viewing the document below. There could be more to it that I may have missed.

You are correct, those 2 are the only additional items needed outside the Display Key. Be aware though, BMW has cracked down on the sale of the Display Keys, so unless you purchase a car that was able to have the feature initially from the dealer, such as a 540i/M550i, you most likely will be very hard pressed to get the display key.

Really...wow, I wouldn't have thought that getting the digital key was going to be an issue at the dealer. Can a 2nd hand key be reprogrammed?

There is no solution to aftermarket programming of a used Display key. Also if your car does not have a option for remote parking BMW will not issue you a Display key with the remote parking option.

My G30 came with a display key but…..
This display key does not have the park button on the right side.
So for people that think they are nearly there cos they have the key, you may need a slightly different one. For images please look here:

It seems that I have all the necessrry options preinstalled on my G30:
322-Comfort Access
2TE-Steptronic transmission with shift paddles
5DN-Parking Assistant Plus
3DS-Remote Display Key

VO coding is not a problem for me.

But my display key does not have a Remote Controlled Parking--Button on the side.
What can I do to use it anyway ?
