Trying to get Coupe colour ideas... what do you think?

Created these on the configurator and seem to have narrowed down my preferred colour options to these, so far... I know it is personal preference but am interested in other opinions.

I'd add at least, black grilles.

I have the black and red combo on my convertible with the black grills. Really like it and get allot of compliments on it.

Black is a pain to keep clean, not an issue if u wash it every couple of weeks.

someone had a silver and tan 4GC and looked really nice.

I have GS outside and CR inside as per your second option. Ideal if your mindset is that you spend more time looking at the inside than the outside, and appreciate an exterior that looks great most of the time without you needing to be a detailing nut.

Silver silver silver!! I loved my silver 435d - very understated and classy - and always looks (and is easy to) clean. Shame they don't do M4s in silver (well without costing loads)...!

I had a silver, with black leather interior, E36 328i Sport Coupe for 11 years! It was a great car and even though I lived with colour combo for eleven years, I'm still drawn back to it. If I went for silver again, the black Merino might win over the CR?! Wish they offered a better colour range of Merino for the 4 Coupe. CR Merino...... mmmm!

If someone gave me £50k and told me that I had to go and place my order 'today' or the offer would be withdrawn, I'd struggle choosing the colour combo. Worse problems to have, I know...

I like both but silver is timeless and quite elegant on the 4 in my opinion

I'd take CR (or whatever the tan colour is now called) with silver. I'm not a fan of black interiors though, having finally escaped them! I'd prefer CR or tan dakota to black merino - i.e. to me the colour outweighs even the quality aspect. Each to their own though

For a F32, I'd take silver/tan as my preference I think. Sapphire black doesn't appeal to me as much as CB.

I followed a silver F32 last week. I'd forgotten how good it looked. No amount of photos do it justice. With black air breathers and front grilles.

My last 3 cars have been sapphire black, and stunning as it looks clean, keeping it clean is a ballache.

Nice as it looks with contrasting black exterior and light colour interior (exactly what I have), personally I'll be having something not black next time.

Silver and red looks ok - I'm just a bit scarred from the deluge of silver cars we had about 5-6 years ago, when every other car was a silver one.

Bear in mind that if you go for the coral red interior, the bottom half of the dash is also red plastic, which not everybody likes. I personally don't mind it. With the other interior colours, the lower dash stays black unless you go for the individual leather options.

My last lease car, a 435i, was Black Sapphire Metallic. It looked great when it was freshly washed, but was very hard to keep clean. Prior to that, I had a silver E92 that always looked great.

My current car is a Mineral Gray Metallic 2018 440i LCI. The color shows off the lines of the car better than silver, is cooler in hot sun than BSM and hides dirt better.

Agreed, lad at work just picked SRB up and it really doesn't do it for me at all - reminds me of a colour they used to have on an Astra a few years ago.

One colour I hadn't seen until today is sonic speed blue (6 series) now that is a stunning colour.

OP, another vote for GS/CR combo- I'm a little biased like mcoops but think it looks quality, I guarantee you won't be disappointed - black / red would be next choice (I was torn between the 2 also). Definitely red interior all the way

Yes, I know exactly what you mean about the colour outweighing the quality, but it's only because of the choices available - I feel like I'm being forced to compromise because of the limited choice of leather colours. It seems strange that the 440 M Sport has less colour options than many lesser models in the range?!

I refuse to pay through the nose for individual paint, so I'm left with what's available... I've never really been a fan of paint colours, I think they can date and become passé, so I tend to choose neutral; black, white, silver, although I do like the TB. MG isn't bad but, for me, I'd prefer it to be a tad lighter. AW is just... white! The choice of MW would be a nice option for the 440.

It's going to be:
GS with CR or Black
BS with CR, CB, or Black
MG with CR, Black, or possibly CB
TB with ??? Black?

So, if I select Merino and want the leather dash, I have to have the individual one, but if just got Dakota and select leather dash, it still gives me nappa leather for the dash! In this latter combination does that give me the same nappa leather below the dash too?

Just for the record... I'm currently in Black Sapphire and Oyster Dakota. Not bad but, as it's been said, it needs to be clean to look it's best. The Dakota leather is a bit too hard and a bit too grainy. The smoother Merinos is classier, more expensive looking and smells much more like it!
