Exclamation Shark Edit and Dinan ECU flash

Hi,

I have a very specific - and important question related to Shark Edit and the Dinan ECU-flash:

It looks like I will have the possibility to get the Dinan ( Stage III ) tune here in Switzerland .

Up to now it would have been difficult for me to use a Dinan flash, because my dealership will flash my ECU in the future and then I would have to send the ECU back again to Dinan for re-flashing in such a case.

Now, with the Shark Edit approaching, will it be possible to "backup" the Dinan flash and in case BMW updates my ECU, to "restore" the tune again ?

I did not find information about such a ( unusual ) scenario. Shark Edit as backup software . Any related feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Eugen

Actually, it was answered.

In regards to IP (Intellectual Property) of other tuners, SE will only let you read and store it. Not view, share, or edit it. So you can make a backup for yourself and write it back as necessary.

Sorry, I did not see the answer. However, thank you very much for your feedback. This is my plan "B" in case Jim would not provide maps developed by himself. Much cheaper than Noelle. IMO as good as Noelle. Serious, reliable power. What a day today .

Great .

It will be encoded ( no chance to view or change the map ) and welded to my VIN.

This is a very good opportunity to use the Dinan flash outside US/CAN. You will have no warranty but you can use the oil-cooler and FMIC of YOUR choice.

And you will not get the DINAN 3(35) batch, I never cared about it, my car is debadged. I just want an affordable tune from one of the top BMW tuners like Jim Conforti, Dinan, Noelle, AA, ... [ Dinan Stage III = Noelle 401 chp tune ( US$ 10,500.00 , strange ) ] .

Am I a Shark Edit AND Dinan fanboy now ?
