Pictures Please! F31 330d Touring on AC Schnitzer Springs
Hi all,
Since the demise of forum history due to most pictures being shared via Photobucket (and we all know what happened there! ) I am finding it really difficult to find any previous pictures of a 330d F31 sat on AC Schnitzer springs. I dont want to see any X-Drive cars, as mine is a RWD variant on standard M Sport suspension. So, if you have a F31 330d sat on these springs, would you mind sharing a picture to help me make up my mind! Thanks! James |

Just had a look, Lorcan sent me some of those pictures when I enquired - car looks great!
Would you say yours is as low as the silver one I posted? Thanks |

I would say so yes. The gap from the top edge of the tyre to the wheelarch looks about the same. The silver one has the 20" alloys which will make it look slightly lower. I'd love those wheels on mine but not sure if the ride quality would suffer with 20s.

I think I'm sold!
Would you say that there is any reverse rake with this set up? I.e is the back lower than the front? Personally I'm looking for a set up that lowers the front more than the rear, and the silver car certainly looks that way! |

I had the same questions in my head before I got mine done. As standard, the rear of my car was already pretty low and I didn't want it any lower. I just wanted the front to match, which by comparison had a huge gap! I was worried that when the new suspension was fitted the front would end up being perfect, but the rear too low! But as it's turned out, the front and rear are now perfectly even.

Ideal, sounds like the set up for me!
I'll probably do 20" at some point, but I don't want it stupidly low as I have 2 kids and want to be able to still enjoy using the car without scraping the nose everywhere! Plus I'd like the M Performance front lip too! |

Well good luck with whatever you decide.
Aesthetics aside, it has made a huge difference to the ride quality of the car. It's now much more controlled and composed over rough and broken roads and generally feels like a BMW should imo. Will you be going for springs only, or the sports kit including dampers?

The ACS do sometimes seem to have reverse rake, although i'm not sure if that's just the x-drives? That is the reason i went for the Eibach springs.

The first version of our springs for the 330dx/335dx was lower at the rear than the front. Current versions are level and for the 330d lowering is more at the front than the rear.

Sorry to hijack this thread. What does a 335d sit like on ac springs. Having mine fitted in two weeks. Are they different in height to a rwd car on ac springs?
