Bluetooth streaming with Android problem
Gents
How do you get Bluetooth streaming working with an Android phone. The idrive doesn’t see any tracks at all on my phone. Do the tracks have to be located in a certain location for idrive to see them? If I open a music app on the phone first and play music on the phone it streams OK. |

I think the integration with Android is a bit pants, and your approach of setting the music going on the phone then selecting it from media is the only way I have found to do it.
Wouldn't it be great to be able to control it via blue tooth... I have a funny feeling that you have to attache via a USB cable to be able to use Idrive...

If you have the media tracks saved on the phone you can connect via a USB cable and browse them and control them through the idrive.
If you stream music over bluetooth, like I do, all you can do is previous/next track, and you have to start playing the music from the phone. Some good news is with Android 8.0, although the bluetooth has been quite buggy so far, we're finally getting the ability to view playlists and scroll through them in the gauges/HUD like you can on iphones. |
