Aero Side Skirts on Black

Hey,

Does anyone have pictures of the aero side skirts on either Black Sapphire, Jet Black or Carbon Black? I am thinking about doing this mod, but I really want to see how it looks on a black car. I feel with the ligher colors you see the lines better and I'd like to see how it turns out on a black car.

Anyone?

TIA!

I put some on my black M Coupe just this week. I'll post a pic when I get home.

I took the pics tonight after work as planned, only to discover I've got no way to get them from my camera to my new laptop - it doesn't have a pc card slot or compact flash slot like my previous one. My camera - which is an old 1.2 megapixel - doesn't have a USB connector!

Tomorrow, I'll take some less than stellar pictures with my cell phone or the laptop itself (built-in camera). I may buy a new digital camera, for which I'm long overdue anyway.

I've got a Sony VAIO TZ150, which I love. I'll likely get a Sony digicam as well, as I like how all their stuff integrates together. My old camera is something of a disgrace - I think it's 7 or 8 years old, the battery doesn't hold a charge more than 5 minutes, and the slot for the flash card has to be taped shut. I'm long overdue for a new one.

Here's a cell phone picture, but the lighting doesn't show the change to great effect. You can see that the angle of light is straighter below the door than the stock sill.

Okay, here we go

IO still haven't bought the new camera, but I figured out how to move pictures from the old one. I think these give a decent idea of how the aero skirts look. Note that I forgot to trim the little nibs of material from the front top corner, so those stick out a bit.

Looks nice but doesn't look like it's worth the money - barely noticeable on black.

i think it looks great. i want someone with an M roadster to do it now so i can c how it looks (hint hint mmmazing). I would love to do this mod but I don't know if I can spend that much on a purely visual mod.

Looks great tho!

i was expecting these to be $$$ but from tischer there only 228 a piece. A little math and in the end i would spend $656 with paint. Not too bad. But i guess i would have to see them in real life to see if they are really worth it.

$656, is that including shipping? Also, $656 is still pretty expensive, you could do a few performance mods for that

It's still a good mod. on any car, regardless of color, but has less visual appeal on black than the other colors... but mine is white, so what do I know....

I agree it's pretty subtle - I doubt anyone but another M Coupe owner would notice, and I've never seen another M Coupe in person so... But I think they look very cool, and give the car that extra bump in aggression. Now I just need to stop kicking them when I get in and out.

Am I the only one who doesnt like these sills? They take the coke bottle shape out of the bodyside plus they add yet another line a bodyside that isnt lacking in complexity.

They look awesome. I just installed mine a week ago, and that extra curve really makes the car look sexier.

I think for most people it would cost more than $656 all together after painting and installation. But "expensive" is all relative. Tell me which "performance mods" you plan on getting with $656 and how much extra horsepower & torque you can get with it. Then divide the $ by the amount of power/torque you gain and decide if it's worth it.

I'd much rather spend the money on something I see every time I look at my car, and that makes me go, "Damn, that's sweet!"

Well, it's not blackl but it's an M Roadster; this is pretty much the instructions reference everyone uses to install them.: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showpost...35&postcount=1
