18 years old and need help on rims!
Hey guys my dad has a 07 bmw 328xi and i'm thinking of doing some cosmetic mods on it. I want to do some engine mods but waiting till my warrenty is almost over. My dad works at home so most of the time i drive the car. I'm a senior in highschool which means im broke! My friend just spraypainted his rims flat black and they came out nice. I was thinking of painting my calipers the bmw blue color and the rims black. What do you guys think? BTW my car is Jet Black.

your father doesnt mind you modding his car??? honestly, its not your car, so why waste your money? you should save up, and when the time is right, get a bimmer of your own. Trust me, having your own BMW makes you appreciate driving it that much more

Yeah, and nothing is harder when 18-25 than waiting... I know, most of us know from experiance...
If you can and it's hard just be patient. Stack your cash or just find some wheels that your dad likes and order them up... But as others have mentioned, don't cheap out.

Save your money, if getting your own BMW later is not in the cards.. Save for a nice set of CSL replicas or something, that only run about $800 and are great.

your young and have an itch to mod out a bimmer! I know the feeling. But dont let your desire make you do something as fooolish as painting your stock wheels. Your car will look sooo ghetto. I cant even stress it enough.

If you want to keep your stockies and want them another color.. there is always the option of powdercoating. It would probably cost you between 400-600 dollars for all 4 and would be much cheaper than buying a new set. Just don't spray paint shit. That is kinda dumb.. especially on a bimmer.

thanks guys. My dad bought the car on my birthday cuz he works at home so most of the time im driving it. We also got a mazda 6. So i switch back and forth between the two cars. And for a job i got an ebay business so i just get all my money from that. As for engine mods i don't know what i wanna do yet. My physics teacher got me new low beam bulbs and im planning to switch out the fog lights. For engine mods i'm thinking an intake and i really want those dual exhaust i see people have. Almost looks like an M3 but more spread apart. I saw one vividracing.com

haha yeah my teacher is pretty chill. He's asian so of course he knows about cars. He has a Volvo station wagon but its a turbo. His license plate frame says "You Just Got Beat By A Wagon". He told me he bought the wagon cause insurance expects people who drive wagons to go slow and safe.

Congrats on the car! Like the others said, definitely save up for a full replacement set. I'd recommend looking into these options:
