I cannot get my shift knob off!!!!! AT

got the new updated shifter and for the life of me, cannot get the shift knob off. I've tried it in park, neutral and drive, nada. And you can't shift the car out of park unless the car is on and running. And you can't turn the car back off unless the car is in park. Any help!!?!?!?!?

Shift into neutral, turn the car off, open the sunroof, straddle console, grasp the shift knob and yank the shit out of it. Straight up. Don't poke yer eye out.

Hmmm...... never tried this but setting the parking brake might should be on this countdown to a nose bleed.

Got it off! Was in drive I think. Now I have to figure out how to redo this with just manual shift boot. Might have to dissassemble the wiring look from the auto trim piece and just lay it in there

Thanks. Basically what I was thinking. I need to completely remove the wiring assembly from the trim piece and tuck it away
