Doesnt just look unreal; it is! Its super simple if you follow instructions and chrony the time between application and wiping it off. First time for me and I found a few minor blemishes, but I checked the panels under every possible angle to find them out.
I used Silverwax Nano1. Cant beat the price and quality of the product. Cant wait to do it again in a few years Only con I can think of is that you have to wait a week before you can wash it after the coating. Car looked awesome with just the coating; couldnt wait to add some more shine to it.

The only con I see is if you get it wrong. Take for example Gtechniq CS. If misapplied then to remove it you need to wet sand. Hey it is designed for 7 years of protection!
So read the warning because if it is professional grade only and you don?t know how to wet sand then it?s not for you. Actually one last con. Some require a maintenance coat or top up to prolong life. I have come across coatings like that too so check because some cheeky manufacturers want you to use their shampoo as well to re-activate ingredients in the coating. Other than there are nothing but pros to ceramic coating. Nothing but pros!!! |

I'm getting the car ceramic coated next month, more than happy to meet up if people aren't to far away.

I had my car ceramic coated (Gyeon products) last October and wrote up a review here:
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1317164 After 2000 miles usage with the coating applied, I followed up with another review here: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1327933 And then after the first wash, some 2 months after the application, I wrote another review here: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1336483

Mines coated with Seramik SC15, washed weekly with their maintenance wash and then sprayed once a month with their Mist product. 5 months in and it's still like the day it was done!

I applied Getchniq CSL and EXOv3 to mine, to be honest it couldn't be easier, couple of bits if in a better application environment would have gone better but generally very pleased - take your time invest in the right lit to apply it and away you go.

You pay for what you get...
Having said that I bought the Sonax Profiline C36 ceramic (silica) coating. Why? Well my car was brand new so needed very little correction and it's quite easy to apply yourself. Research the product, some can be done at home easily, many can't. For that reason the costs vary a lot. Also costs will very much depend on the amount of correction that needs to be applied e.g. - swirl and scratch removal - oxidisation / water stains - clay

I'm gonna use Gtechniq C2 which is a nano spray, its easier to apply than a proper coating, but will still protect the car for upto 8 months, its just spray on them wipe off

I like many have used gtechniq Crystal serum light with exo on top. It makes a mg car look stunning bringing out the purple flecks. Washed with gwash it still washes mud off easily and beaded well 14 odd months on, for the last few months however I have used geon wetcoat or sonax most washes to top up the water/dirt repelant.
