After front end repair, feels like power steering is gone
Had a minor front end collision a few weeks ago. Drove the car a few days after the wreck, then brought in to scheduled body shop appt. NOTE: steering was fine AFTER the wreck and before the body shop appt.
Had a body shop replace hood, bumper cover, headlights, kidney grills and radiator support. Got the car back and now the car feels *almost* like the powersteering is not working. I use to be able to turn the steering wheel with 1 finger, now i have to grip hard to turn it. Power steering fluid is fine. I am 99% sure I do not have active steering. I am throwing no codes. 2007 335i e92. Auto. 89k miles. Any ideas what could be causing this? Last edited by clean.; 09-20-2017 at 03:35 PM.. |

Did you check the serpentine belt, which I believe drives the power-steering pump pulley?
