I was wondering if F10 5 series have water pump problems like our E90s.

Particularly the 528i and 535i since the 535 uses the N55 motor.

I really can't imagine they have a pile of crappy 3 series water pumps and good 5 series water pumps. They're all gonna suck equally.

5 and 3 series use the same motor mostly don't see why
they wouldn't use the same water pump. Maybe its improved over time or maybe they cheapened it.

Don't think it will stop people from buying the car.
The water pump and tstat are not that big an issue.

but their are others that I hope don't ever come up.

all the electric water pumps will break. My cousins mkvi gti went through 2 water pumps within the first 45k.

the new b58 and b48 motors use a mechanical water pump but you'll either have to go 3 series or 4 series or the newer g30

N52 water pumps are good for 100k+

So I imagine a 528 would last as long?
