BMW M235i 2:20 136mph at Watkins Glen, essentially stock (video)
Well I got down to a 2:20 at the Glen in my M235i on Sunday. 6spd. RWD. Sport mode. Stock Brake Pads. ATE 200 Brake Fluid. Hankook RS3 245-40R17 Square. (13 Days on them running 38 hot all around so pretty worn).
Super excited, had a couple 2:23s that day, I am beyond excited. It was fun chasing down a track prepped 135i. Came into the toe a little "hot" otherwise I probably would have broken 2:20

What do you think gave the 135i the advantage? I understand it was "track prepped," but what exactly? Thanks.
BTW, I was at an HPDE this weekend (running RS4s on the same wheels as you) and every instructor there said their favorite track is The Glen. |

It was gutted, caged, suspension, lots of camber, pads/rotors, I can’t remember what the aero setup was if any.

Let me know if you need a supply of 1/3 used Hancook RS3's the same size as yours: 245-40-17. I have have 8 of them ready to go.
