Just bought a 2013 C350. Goodbye everyone. :(

Just want to say thank you for all the information on this board. There is nothing else like it. Bmw owners are hardcore. Unfortunately, I am selling my car because I just bought a 2013 C350. The steering on the Mercedes is not nearly as stiff as the BMW and it is a more cushy ride. On the plus side, it has balls. I just couldn't buy a used 4 cylinder turbo that has timing chain issues. Anyway, you guys are freakin awesome and I hope the Mercedes Board has the same quality of enthusiasts. Until next time, happy motoring.

... at least it's a Merc and not a Lexus.

I noticed your subject has a ... but in your photo there's no mistaking that smile.

Can't bag on your choice to go with a Merc. Besides ... it's a pretty sweet ride. Enjoy. - Plus you still have an X5 - so it's not like you ditched BMW all together.

Congrats. We've had a great experience with our C300. They're very easy to work on too. FYI, alldatadiy.com has the manuals and parts info for the benzs.

Disappointed in the forum support for the brand, definitely not anywhere near as many enthusiasts.

Thanks! I love that it has an oil dipstick and for $25 I can buy a transmission dipstick! Already bought the DVD manual, $15 on ebay! I figured the forum support would not be as good as here.

Congrats! I have two buddies that have the same car now. Can't speak for how they like them, but good luck!

Good luck OP. I feel the same way. Can’t justify a $40 grand plus 4 cylinder vehicle.

Sweet! We used to have a 2013 C300! good car with no issues in the 2 years we leased it! I'm sure the C350 engine is a beast!

My only complaint for Mercs is the really poor shitty 1950s halogen bowl+bulb combo head lamps!

Even though LED tail lamps are standard, HID Xenon/lighting package was and still is a rare option (I am surprised it was not standard on the C350 coupe)

I love your color combo. Good to know about the reliability! Yes, it is a beast compared to my 325i.

Thinking about installing aftermarket LEDs. Looks simple to install.

I'd be concerned about messing with the reflector focus point. Similar to the retrofit HID kits you see in trucks and ricers with poor visibility and crazy glare/patterns.

I just keep a fresh set of Silverstar/Ultras in ours. My wife prefers the whiter light.

Thanks for the heads up. I was looking at that too. May just do that! Man I'm going to miss this board.

Gorgeous car, congrats and enjoy. Mercedes is a different kind of driving pleasure than BMW. Used to have a 2003 C230 Kompressor sedan and it was peppy and comfortable.

Ended up with a BMW this time because it was a lot faster than similarly priced Benz's on the used market. I am aware 0-60 time is not everything but I think Mercedes could have offered much better straight line performance out of the W204 C-classes; I was disappointed when I drove a 2009 C300 and my 2006 330i back-to-back, although it could have been the slushbox in the Benz that killed it for me.

Hope to see you back on these boards some day. E90's are timeless and you might find a deal too good to pass up.

Thank you! Agreed, Mercedes is definitely a different kind of driving pleasure. I just couldn't pass up this deal. $20,500, 48,000 miles, one owner, regularly serviced every year at the same Mercedes dealership. After 120,000 miles I may jump back to BMW. Bring back the naturally aspirated straight six!!!!
