VIM coding problems

Hi guys and girls,

It was time to register at the forum after all the hours I spend reading. I own a BMW F20 LCI in Valencia Orange and a BMW F32 in Estoril Blue. They are both from Q1 2016.
In the BMW F20 I did a lot FDL coding with the bimmercodeapp. In standard and Expert mode. Everything went smoothly, also VIM.

Meanwhile in the F32 I have problems enabling VIM. The Bimmers are both equipped with NBT, but the difference is that the F20 was ordered with Navi Pro (S609A), while the F32 was ordered with Navi Business (S606A).

With all the knowledge I learned here at the forum I was able to swap the screen in the BMW F32 for the 8,8“ screen. (And a steering wheel with paddle shifters, but that’s has nothing to do with this problem I have)

The following head units are in the car according to the bimmercodeapp:
BMW F20LCI: HU_NBT_EVO and the BMW F32: HU_NBT. There are both equipped with NBT ID4.

Settings in the F32:
ENT_VIDEO_HMI : DVD_HMI
SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX : (0XFF)
SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MIN : (0XFF)
VIDEO_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION : NONE
OFFICE_MESSAGES_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION : NONE
SERVICES_MESSAGES_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION : NONE
API_USB_VIDEO : BOTH
VIDEO_FRONT_LOCKED : NICHT_ACTIV
VIDEO_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION : NONE
VIDEO_HANDBRAKE : NICHT_AKTIV
ENT_CODEC_XVID :aktiv
ENT_CODEC_XVCD :aktiv
ENT_CODEC_OGG :aktiv

And the problem is that I dont see video. I Just hear the video playing. That’s it.
Do I miss something?

Maybe that‘s the problem.
It has set to FF.

But i also wonder if the Navi Business can play videos?
And also i wonder why it is a Business but is shown as HU-NBT.

I did take a look at the setting in the F20. The MIN and MAX are both standing at 3/kmph (0x03)

That is strange.

@shawnsheridan (or someone else),have you seen it before; a Navi Business (S606A) that comes with HU_NBT?

For evo, MIN set to 1F and Max to 3F.

There are no additional HU_NBT parameters.

Just not for the speedvalue FDL's. For ID4++ on Evo set to nicht_aktiv. On ID5/ID6, set to 1F/3F.

No, because also the Navi Prof. does not have this as standard.
