HD Radio not compatible with NAV

My dealer just mentioned that the HD Radio option is not compatible with the Navigation package. Anyone heard about this?

Thanks!

StefanB – that really doesn’t sound right. HD radio is a very popular option, so why would they make it NOT work with another very popular option? ALSO – for the xDrive50i, option 609-Navigation system is STANDARD – yet option 653-HD Radio is clearly listed as an orderable option.

If HD Radio was incompatible with the Navigation system, then it wouldn’t be possible to order it on ANY of the V8 cars – yet it is listed as an orderable option…

So I would inquire further into the issue if I were you. I am ordering an xDrive50i soon, and I totally expect to order the HD radio option… So please let us know if you hear more about this issue.

Cheers,

When it first came out HD radio could not be installed with one other option. I can't remember if it was Sat Radio or iPOD. But all those issues were worked a few years ago.

I say your dealer is giving you wrong information.

+1. tell your dealer to catch up with the time. In 2006, this was a problem as they had to be 2 separate antennae. That is all changed... so we are all good. You can have both!!

Not true if you are referring to the X6. I ordered HD Radio and have navigation in my X6 50i
