That's not a tax, that's a dumbass fee. If your dumb enough to inhale a man made chemical the state is going to make you pay for it. They can't make it illegal, so they make it expensive.

Of course the government can make it illegal, they just choose not too because the revenue the tax/fee produces is big $$$.

The government could outlaw cigarettes but instead it taxes the hell out of them. Politicians care more about $$ than they do about your health/life.

Wait, don't people who want pot legalized say the gov't can then tax it and raise revenue? That's supposed to be a good thing, right? But they can't tax vaping or cigarettes without catching hell? Booze in this state (IL) is taxed at 10%. Pick your poison.

The product costs $40, after tax its $60. I would have no problem paying 10%-15%

BUT 50% IS RIDICULOUS

PA excise tax is 40% on tobacco products. They recently added vape products. Waah, you have to pay the same tax as other tobacco products.

Like 1MOREMOD said, take up drinking. Only 18% PA excise tax on booze.
