I hear all the stories about runflats and people getting flats and compromised tires within the first few thousand miles. shouldnt the tires you get on the car have a warranty of their own, one would simply be able to get a new tire if they had any problems...?

If anything happens to me in the first few thousand miles, you can bet your bottom dollar ill be in there asking them that exact question.

there's tire insurance you can get from bmw for ~$600.

but the tires are not covered under the standard 4 year/50k mile deal

im well aware there is tire insurance from BMW, but its bullshi@t...if i bought the car new, i also purchased the car new. so if a tire is messing up under 5ooo miles AT LEAST, that TIRE should be covered by the manufacturer and it should be up to BMW to make sure that happens.

im in canada and the insurance is 899 taxes OUT.

It's not BMW's fault if you run over a screw, why should they pay to replace the tire?

If your talking about problems a long the lines of road noise, or uneven wear, BMW says its not their fault go talk to Bridgestone, Bridgestone says its a problem with the cars being set up incorrectly. Best thing to do is get out of the RFT's, I did not want to make the change at first but I did and have no regrets.

Exactly, i just took for granted people would be able to figure that one out on their own...just like you did neuro.

and as far as talking to BRIDGESTONE, i mentioned that as well...THE POINT IS:
THE TIRE SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, period.

yeah, you run over a nail...that sucks, but you can buy a tire from many places that will STILL repair or replace your tire if that were to occur.

and another +1 for losing the RFT asap.
