Well if you want a perfectly capable and good value "Dad" car, I can recommend a Skoda Octavia VRS! It won't stir the soul, but it's not a bad compromise between value and ability

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "2017 Upgraded BMW Software".
Maps? or iDrive?

Try tootle if you haven't already - others on here have had better offers than from the likes of webuyanycar and Evans Halshaw, and we just sold my Wife's GTD for more than trade-in and less hassle than dealing with tyre kickers!

No good mate. They recommending £15k which is ridiculous.

That does seem low, but the bigger diesels do seem to have taken a hit lately with the negative press.

For what it's worth, I was offered £21,500 trade-in on my 2016/16 30d. I'm on 16k miles, similar spec to you albeit without the M Performance kit and wheels. Yours is desirable for that reason, but just to help you manage expectations if you really need to get rid

Ive just bought a 2017 11k miles F31 335d Msport Touring 2 yrs BMW warranty, not as many MPerformance bits as yours but on 19s for 23500 its a great time to buy not to sell !

15k is on the low side - I imagine they're not giving you much if any premium for the M Performance stuff. I would have thought you should advertise for 18k and be prepared to drop to 17k. No one in their right mind would pay anything like 23k for a 4 year old car, when you can get a 1 year old for that price.

I have a similar 14 plate car without M Performance kit, but with a little higher spec. I would value mine at around 16k.

Alternatively keep it - there's no reason it can't accommodate a kid or two.

Tootle gives a guide price, but you are free to set anything you wish. It wont take into account your additional MP parts, and at the end of the day offers come from what the dealers wish to pay. It acts as a guide on what pricing has been achieved recently on that model.

Ive just sold a 435d drive and 118d msport within the last week. The 118 got 1200 over trade / 900 over tootles top estimate (around 850 under private) and the 435 (which like yours had the full MPKit) got me 2,500 above trade / 2k above tootles top estimate.

I just ignored the guide pricing, and let the dealers come to me with an offer and took it from there. Your also free to reject all offers and it costs nothing to try.

Id also reiterate the comments above in regards to pricing, where your at at 22k will be extremely difficult to achieve. MP stuff will add an element of value, but nowhere near enough to lift it to that level.

Good luck with the sale.

Albeit a touring, I had no issues using my 335d for 3 kids aged 1-5 (now 5-9), very much a suitable car - just protect the leather and carpets.

I need to sell mine imminently, looking at current prices I am going to get killed on it (77k miles, Melbourne Red with beige leather, carpets and trim... and no heated seats. Nobody will want it )

So good luck with the sale, but if you can't get shot for a decent price you'll do fine with a stroller in the boot. Just put a protector on the leather so car seats don't leave indentations from the car seat.

If it were to be at the prices mentioned in this thread I may be interested. I would prefer a touring but a saloon could be ok.
