Laws for Tint/Front Plate

Now I know there has been talk about these laws and everything and I'm aware of what they are but my question is...I just got my e90 a few weeks ago and will be registering my car in SC (No front plate req/27% tint) because I go to Clemson, however will be in Northern Virginia (both front plates/front-50% back-35%) all summer. If I have my registration and plate being SC can I still get a ticket in VA if I went with no front plate/35% all around?

and then without the front plate, ive heard about the bumper plugs but dont like the fact u have to drill a larger hole esp if ill eventually need to put it on again, is there any other alternative besides a new bumper and without drilling even more?

I had an M3 registered in FL (no front plate) for almost 2 years in the DC area with no problems, FWIW.

I don't know if you can get a ticket for it, but I got pulled over in PA before when I had 20% tint with MD tags. I didn't get a ticket just a warning that even with MD tags I could get a ticket for it and that some other officers do just that. If it's really true or not I don't know, but they still might stop you for having it on.

I kept my Honda Civic, FL registered for the last 5 years and I have no problems with no front plates and 20% tints. Go for it, I say.

I have had 15-20% tint on every car I have owned, and never had any problems. I didn't have a front plate on my SS Camaro I once had, and I got pulled over 3 times for that but only warnings.

I currently don't use a front plate in VA. So far, so good...(knock on wood)...I have no intentios to ever drill into the front bumper.
