Someone had some way of printing it out like a sticker and then just slapping it on the front, no holes required.

Don't have an M2, just researching at the moment - but I'd do this if/when I get one I think! Was hoping the bracket would be removable without leaving holes (seems it is, as you don't have one?).

So yeah I'd get a sticker plate (or a short plate height-wise) so it fits correctly on the front on the 'flat' part - will be angled slightly downwards but should be fine

Mine is a short 5 digit plate and is simply stuck on with some serious 3M double sided gel type tape. Its not going anywhere, but could easily be removed from the car by thieves, not something I am worried about.

If your looking for something more secure, then maybe a tow mount of some type.

The Carbonio no-drill bracket (easily removed) is available for both "North America" and "Rest of World" so I strongly suspect they have what you're looking for.

This is what I would do.

Did you remove the plate holder? Or you never had it fitted? Just wondering if it is fitted, when removed if it leaves visible holes or not?

I asked the dealer not to fit the plate holder as its screwed to the bumper, and yes there are holes visible once you remove the plate holder.

Alright cool, good to know though that the holder is fitted at the dealer (it seems) and not from the factory.

Looking at a possible stock car (if they make the figures work) so hopefully it doesn't have the holder fitted yet! Lol

You had any issues with this slightly (and I think easily noticeable) downwards plate angle with police and/or automated numberplate readers at some airport car parks etc?

It is slightly angled downward, but its not really noticeable, just the angle of the picture I have taken. ANPR has no problem reading the plate.

Great stuff!

Get my car tomorrow hopefully. Short plates were supposed to arrive today and I was going to stick them on before driving off.

They're actually now arriving tomorrow (likely after I head out to the dealer) - so don't really want to stick some on at the dealer (I asked them not to provide already) for the half hour drive home. Will try and get away with just putting them in the front and back visible in the windscreen / rear window and then get the proper ones on once I'm home if they arrive by then

If you are considering durable and sturdy mounts for your plates that can avoid drills and holes. I have two different suggestion.

First one is at the tow hook and this manufacturer's mount is recommended.
http://usmillworks.com/

Second one is at the middle of the bumper and also highly recommended.
https://www.carbonio.com/BMW_M2_M3_M...m-bmw-m2-6.htm

I have both of them and they work great and pros and cons.

Millworks tow hook mount is easy to put on and pull out the plate during your carwash if you purchase quick release adaptor. If you want to have it mounted at the side, this will be great choice. Took me more than 2 hours to install in good position... Ones installed, very easy to take whole thing off or just the plate.

Carbonio is a good choice if you want to keep your plate at the middle as conventional way. They are also very sturdy (but I found Millworks mount is more durable) and less than 30 min installation. Takes more time if you want to take it off for carwash as you cant just release the plate only (have to take the whole mount and install back again).

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I use a flexi stick on plate from a company called killa plates for my M2. you can order them online in any size you like. sticks like a flexi magnet but onto any flat surface.
