Pre-delivery requests experiences

Hey everyone, now that my car is getting closer to being delivered (its on a ship) I was wondering what everyone in the metro area asked from their dealers pre-delivery and their experiences. I saw the thread on all the pre-delivery request people make but I dont want to cause a whole bunch of trouble for my CA (Yves at passport). More particularly I wanted to make sure they dont put the passport sticker on the rear of the car but even if they do is it easy to remove? What about the extra quart of oil and bottle holder, you guys have any luck getting that? And should i definitely ask them not to wash the car? I already got 1500 off of MSRP and Yves is throwing in a set a M3 Mats which i think is alot already. Thanks for all the help guys!

Definitely ask them not to wash the car, they should be happy to do that since it means less work for them! Make sure you have all manuals, flashlight, electronics (assist, sat. radio, etc.) activated, do not drill front license plate holder on (if you plan on not having one).

Passport puts a sticker on the back side of the rear view mirror. You can only see it when outside the car. I had them remove that as well. I didnt get the M3 mats when I got the car cause they didnt have them. I got the All weather mats instead (which I prefer anyway). M3 mats are fabric

I would have gotten my M with Yves, but their mgmt wouldnt go any higher on their incentives so I had to take my business to Fairfax since I get my service there too.
Passport it Great, thks to Yves our e90post POC there. Dont forget your 2 BMW key rings btw, and I dont think you need chrome tips <grin>

Asad of Fairfax is my CA and he'll be doing the same M3 mats and key rings, Im glad I saved my all-weather mats from my last e46 M.

Lets all work on trying to get together, even if just a few and we'll have another get together as others get their cars. M3s will be very few unlike e90s and e92s, so a small gathering is about normal. Small but tight group!

Congrats

I don't know what I should ask my CA to do.
They have a contract with local tint/clear bra shop and I was thinking maybe they can do that for free?

Ase2dais, my car is at the preparation center so I'll be getting mine soon. We should all meet up and greet asap.

My CA threw in a nice ///M3 Leather jacket, you can always try that or any other of the lifestyle accessories.

Hey ase2dais I was just wondering, I am getting my e92 M3 from Asad too (hopefully in a month max), and was wondering did everything go well with you during delivery?, any hassles or comments?

By the way I was wondering should I get the LoJack from them or is the BMW Assist good enough? I would appreciate if you could give me any tips on things I should watch out for? one last thing did you let them clean it for you?

Im not getting my car at the dealership but through Performance Center SC next wkend. I haven't paid for it yet but will do it next week before I leave.

As far as getting everything, I want Im not sure. All I was promise a /M3 carpet mats and set of bmw key chains. Im not asking for anymore since I dont like to beg and be dissappointed, coz my CA seems to be a very busy guy after I bought my car through him. But overall Fair.

Lets all try to Meetup with the rest. I'd just like to see a group of 08 M3 photo line up. Last comment was to meet mid-week at Kingstowne, since Tyson is very bad during mid-week traffic.

Congrats

Just to comment on the lojack vs bmw assist, I talked to my insurance company and my agent and I was told that there is no extra discount for having lojack and that once the car is stolen they consider the car a complete loss so I didnt get the lojack system. Btw I have State Farm.

overall I think Assist should help w/ thief recovery, since the subscription is active. Once Assist subscription expires after the 4yrs, then it would be helpful to have Lojack. I had Lojack once, it was nice to have. Kinda expensive though

I believe an annual subcription to Assist is about $95/yr, much less than lojack. Dont quote me, but double check

I will check the Assist vs Lojack issue with the dealer/online as I really wanted to know whether its worth it to get LoJack if your BMW Assist servise is active or not. Thanx for your input guys and I really wouldnt mind more (I am a pretty greedy guy when it comes to input lol)

As of the meeting, I really wish I could make it but I'll be leaving VA on the 23~24th to PA for Univ. So I dont know if I can make it, but I would appreciate if you guys/gals could keep me posted it doesn't hurt to know.

yeah let us know what they quote you for LoJack, kinda curious myself. But once you have it, its battery is good for as much as 7 yrs. You dont have to do anything anymore.

thats about what I thought. Is that the passive system or the active one.
When I say passive, I mean they just hide a transmitter in the car and it locates the car when stolen. The other new system gives you a notification when the car is being moved or in the process of getting stolen.
