Mperformance suspension, lower the rear
Hi All,
I have the Mperformance coilover suspension kit installed on my M2 and all settings are accordingly to BMW instructions. The ride height is therefore; Front: 595 mm Rear: 600 mm This is measured from the lower rim edge to the fender edge. However I would like it to go just a bit lower in the rear, but the adjustment nut is in the max position (see picture) My question is if someone removed the adjustment nut. Since its in the maximum setting, it doesn't make any sense. To remove would directly drop 5-8 mm on the rear, that would be perfect. What do you think? and does anyone have the experience that made the same alternation. BR Robert |

Mine is 595mm rear with the Mperf.
Try to free the rear sway bar when the wheels are down the floor, if it is stuck in the silent bloc it may rise the rear of the car a bit. |

Give it a 100 miles if you have not already done so and measure again.
BTW, I'm on MPS too and I think it's just silly to control height that way. Should measure directly on coilover like other KW V3 kits.

The MPS has been on my M2 for a year now so it's seattled as it should. Agree with you how it's measured. At this stage I am a bit puzzled how BMW could accept the height adjustments. As the maximum distance equals the recommended setting.... Front is OK there is still approx 10 mm more to adjust. |

Plus, pay attention when measuring height. Need someone from distance to check and ensure that your ruler is vertical to ground. It's easily off you just can't see that from up close.

Thank all for you information, however my question was more directed to the adjusting nut and the removal of this.
If there is anybody that has already made this action and the what was the end result. |

Here is the picture and my intension was to slightly lower the rear in addition. The main reason is that I will have 10,5" rims on rear. |
