Wiper Blades

Just curious which Wiper Blades you folks use? Did you buy them from the dealer or purchased them from an auto store? Do you know if the X1's come with Bosch Wipers?

I like the Trico Force. One of the few brands that come with the right adapters for the 19mm Top Lock Narrow connection that is on the X1 wiper arm. The OEM Bosch ones that come with the car are useless in the cold and are very streaky.

Was there a model number you used for the Trico Force driver and passenger side?

Where did you buy the Trico Force blades? I agree - the OEM blades are terrible.

BMW has used Bosch "Aerotwin" wiper blades as OEM for a very long time...I've not had any issues with Bosch (VW also uses them and I've had at least one VW in the family for eons so have used Bosch a long time with good results)....however, most of those years were in CA where wipers aren't put to extreme tests like blizzards, hurricanes etc....
If you're had good results with Bosch and don't want to pay $40-50 for a set of blades @ the "stealership"...check out Autohaus AZ...OEM Bosch blade set for X1 is $18...$49 free shipping order size..throw in a cabin filter or as I do another set of blades for my other BMW and a couple of oil filters...

Awesome, thanks. How often do you change your wipers. These wipers are about $53 Cdn. I'm not sure if the manual gives you the sizes of the wipers but I got some info they were 26" driver and 18" passenger.

Dealer quoted me $72 Cdn. for a pair. Amazon carries them for $44 Cdn., a bit cheaper than the dealership.

Definitely 26" and 16". Manual doesn't mention, but easily found on various sites.

I'm pretty sure I also measured the stock ones to make sure a while back.

I changed the driver side one about two months into owning the car, and ten months after that, it still seems to be holding up fine. Will probably switch it out again come spring. I just changed the passenger side one from the stock to a Trico Force.

I bought the Aerotwin's on Amazon for $44 w/free shipping. Much more reasonable than the dealership.

I'm in the UK, and replaced the OEM wipers with Bosch AeroTwin ones. The OEM ones were missing spots on the screen and leaving streaks. The Bosch ones are silent and very effective and a much better option in my opinion.

+1 The Bosch wipers are great indeed!
