I have a brand new m sport front bumper for sale. No headlight washers or pdc holes. It is aftermarket brand but have heard of good fitment with these. $100 plus shipping. Was going to get it painted and installed but have different plans for the car |

I’ve got to ask, how do you send something that big out of state for $25?
What size is the box? BMW’s are so large (78” x 28” x 28”) they cannot ship ground, only freight. Last edited by IK6SPEED; 01-24-2018 at 02:31 AM.. |

I am trying to learn from someone how to ship an item that large by a cheaper method than freight. As I noted, BMW does not know how to do it - nor any forum sponsors. Thus you would be providing a service in teaching us how you can get FedEx to accept a box of that size???? Then again, you never did give the box size |

a quick google search reveals that fed ex ground size limit is 9' length and 13.75' width and girth. seems like a F30 size bumper should be no problem actually bigger then i expected fed ex to take by quite a bit |

“Size guidelines: Maximum size is 108 inches in length and 165 inches in length and girth. Weight guidelines: Individual packages can weigh up to 150 lbs. Packing: Use your own packaging for ground shipments.” “Measure the width of the package, rounding to the nearest inch. Multiply this number by 2. Measure the height of the package, rounding to the nearest inch. Multiply this number by 2. Add these two numbers together. This is your girth.” Bumper is 72” without packaging. 72+Lx2+Hx2= less than 165 to ship ground for length and girth 165-72 = 93 / 2 = 46.5” or less height AND width combined From the left or right corner bottom to the top just past the emblem is 22” From the furthest point back (the point above wheels) to the furthest point forward is also 22”. That is 44” out of 46.5” left. And that again, includes NO BOX OR PACKAGING. Add that in and you are way over, as you cannot send a stand alone bumper. BMW Bumper Box is 78x28x28, so 28+28 = 56 so it could not ship FedEx ground. I would think they would make Box smaller than these specs to ship ground if it was physically possible. As thus the bumper fails FedEx Dimensions for anything but freight. Which is why I am seriously asking the question. Last edited by IK6SPEED; 01-24-2018 at 02:54 PM.. |

Or if you have some way to prove it, I'm sure everybody would be happy then.
