CAS - removing honk while locking running car

It looks like the 17s or 18s now honk when locking the car when running. After CAS(?) software update, the earlier F3x cars do as well.
I'd like to remove the honk and have silent locking when running, anyone know which entry needs to be changed?

TIA for any insight

Should be somewhere in vehicle settings under users or remotes I believe. Basically it will have an option to have audible sound with locking and unlocking vehicle.

It's in the settings. It can't be all that difficult, when I took delivery my SA asked if I wanted it disabled, and it took him all of 30 seconds to do it.

The op is specially talking about the honk when locking whilst the engine is running. Is this not different to the chirp you get when locking the car when the engine is off? I know I can enable\disable this chirp from within idrive.

Seems like this could be it. This was for toggling horn or no horn while locking running car? The car in question is a 16 with NBTevo if that makes a difference.

This is correct. The audible chirp on standard lock is selectable in idrive. The involuntary horn honk is when you lock the car with the engine still running (running into the store/ATM/parking meter/etc with pets or humans in the car).
This was not the case until a full vehicle software update was completed, I am assuming that this feature is within the CAS module.

Thanks

Yes this is what its for, my car had the same issue, when bmw updated all the modules the horn would sound while locking the car if it was still running. On mine the code was in the FEM_BODY module but this might have changed on newer cars. I don't think iDrive version matter but i have NBT in my car.
