RFTs are terrible
Hey guys,
just wanted to vent again. I must have been driving too fast (e92 335) and hit a bump awkwardly because I noticed 2 bubbles in my right front tire. This happened to me about 6 months ago but involved both right side tires. I'm ordering a tired from a local shop $370 installed. Painful. The dealer wanted 420 for the tire and Tirerack wants 320 plus shipping. These things are terrible and expensive. Take home lesson? Drive slower, but it's so hard. Thanks for reading. |

Which RFTs do you have, if you don't mind me asking?

you should've got that....but! it's still a pain going there every stickin' 2 or 3 weeks, so i'm just saving up a lil' and buying new Rims+Tires. FUCK RFTS@! pardon my french! but they really make me - Bes.

I think I dislike the RFT's, but I haven't driven my car with non-RFTs, so I can't be sure. My car just seems so loud and over small bumps and cracks (like the Bott's dots on the freeway in Socal). And the ride seems a little jittery. The ride over larger bumps and dips is nice and firm, but the little things seem to just upset the tires. I want to try conventional tires when I replace the OEM Bridgestones, but I'm a little hesitant about those Fix-A-Flat kits. Can they really get me back on the road again for most flats?

I just went from VS7 + PS2 to OEM RFT and it's like driving on marshmallows.
