Oil smell/consumption under hard driving?

Valve cover gasket and valve cover have been changed (that was a fiasco)

But when I drive hard, IE hard acceleration and high rpm, I get a whiff of oil, and it appears that the car burns oil quicker (or leaks?) it quicker. No valvecover leaks, possible to be a crank case system or the oil filler cap? Any. Other ideas?

Is it possible it’s just an normal smell that would normally be blocked by a good catalyst?

If the VCG needed doing I suspect the OFHG will need doing along with the sump if you haven't already had them replaced. My ofhg started leaking first at around 95000 miles, had that done, then at 102k the vcg started leaking. I've had that done but now At 106k the sump gaskets leaking.
