I think it'll most likely be the car they previewed a couple days ago, which also seems to be the lightly camouflaged 8 Series we've seen doing laps around an Italian track. That had a V8, and since it's M but not the M8, then maybe an M Performance car ? As far as being a "concept", it could be like the Concept M135i from 2012 (at Geneva too) that was just the M135i with some decals

As for the M Performance car, rumors say that it'll be an M850i so a V8 car. But at the same time we saw couple weeks ago in crappy spyshots a white 8 Series with the M Sport pack and it was written "850i" on it, not M850i. We've also seen numerous non M Sport looking 8 Series prototypes with V8s, so these should be 850i models as well. Does that mean there will be both an 850i and an M850i ? The M760i has a non M performance version (V12 Excellence) so it's possible. But that car cannot have the M Sport pack, unlike the 850i. So does all of this mean that they've scraped the M850i for something else (M860i) ? Or maybe there'll be two 850i models at two power levels with one being an M Performance car and the other not but still available with the M Sport pack ? It's very confusing imo. |
