Use a mix of Isopropyl Alcohol and water 50/50 and a MF towel for the first pass and get rid of the grease and gunk. Then use a glass cleaner MF towel with glass cleaner and buff that off with another plus MF towel. That's how I learned to detail glass, 3 towels and IPA mix if the glass is too greasy.
Edit: Just be sure to apply your IPA mix to the towel and not to the window as if it drips to the dashboard, it could stain. Last edited by Loupeitak; 02-10-2018 at 10:18 AM.. |

Above surely will work..but it does take a bit of work in any case. The interior plastics "gas off" and collects wonderfully...LOL
Rather than mix, and I have tried a lot cleaners, and everyone has their choice--- I like the Griot's foam...as it clings to window. I do place a towel on dash just to keep any drip off, let foam sit for a moment, and as above use 2-3 clean MF towels, turning the towel folded into 4ths' with each swipe -- just to keep from smearing the residue onto another swipe motion. Takes a couple of times, but absolutely clear. Staying on top of the task makes it easier each time. Just some extra input |

Two towels with a good glass cleaner. I really like Megs Glass Cleaner concentrate.
One for the wet work and then a drying one. You can also use Optimum No Rinse and Opti-Seal as a great combo. Bruce |
