Customizable iDrive

What do you think of this? My E90 was pushed back to week 25, I just canceled my order to wait for a 2009 car. Primarily because I want Space Gray since the two SSII cars do have more blue than I'd like when paired with a FR interior, but I'll admit I wouldn't mind getting the new iDrive/CiC with an onboard HD. |

holy shit there are so many programmable functions on there...i didn't even read them all. wonder whether the 09 m3 (which comes in Sep to answer your question Kingleh) will get this or whether we'll have to wait for 2010.

As my screen name implies, I love gadgets and technology. I really hope that my 09 has this upgrade.... but i doubt that all the features discussed will be released in the first iteration.

It not a sure thing, CiC may not make it for the 2009 E90, and even if it did it may not have these features w/o a possible future update. So some of us maybe just tossing three months of enjoyment away for mildly redesigned taillights.

Agreed. I'd expect that in new designs on the 5, 7, and Xs before the 3-series. It's unusual to put something drastically different into a model so early in its life cycle. I doubt the 2010 3-series will even have it.

It just seems like the kind of thing that you'd probably not use for the first couple months of taming the beast, however eventually, you 'd look into it and use it.
