They do, you just have to tick that option box...

...which in Australia at least removes front memory seats. I had to make the choice and give up on the recline as my wife and I swap the car too often to go back to adjusting everything each time ;(

Are you sure that’s definite?
Seems unlikely that rear reclining would have anything to do with front seat memory. It sounds more an ordering system error.

You’d think it would be in their best interest to allow you to stack on as many options as you could afford.

I agree it's crazy and is a feature I'll miss the first time I'm at Ikea with the family and can't QUITE get that box in enough for tail to close. I understood the problem had been double checked, but this has prompted me to ask ONE last time as my build hadn't started yet...I'd love it if I am getting it!

EDIT: I've now been told that they did discover it was an error but my car is "locked" for production in a week ;( That's very disappointing as it could have been added 3 weeks ago when I was really grinding this point along with a few similar anomalies.

I’m not getting the rear recline. The feature itself wasn’t too expensive... but when you keep adding the options the price quickly stacks up.
The line has to be drawn somewhere.

In terms of fitting in the ikea boxes... you can always release the seats so they fling forward but not fold right over. Ie. someone could still sit in the chair with it resting on the boxes and not latched fully back. It’s not safe necessarily but doable in those cases.

Choosing rear recline does not add any more space in cabin. It just adds a pivot and locking mechanism.

Without this option the rear back still pivots but doesn’t lock.

It’s the McGyver solution hehe.
