Master Clear Protective Coating Installers Around NYC/Long Island?

Can anyone recommend a true expert/master installer of clear coatings aka "clear bra" in the NYC/NJ/Long Island area? I am particularly looking for someone good with the Venture Shield brand.

i know a guy...he did mine and did my friend's aston martin. he does great work.

call Lazlo at 18883951978 and tell him Kelvin with the 335 sent you. He'll take good care of you. He uses VentureShield and 3M, so you can specify when you get there. He did a lot of custom work for me to cover most of the car.

Where is Lazlo located - or does he do service calls?

Also I am hearing good things about Detailing Dynamics (on Long Island in village of Mineola). Anybody do business with this outfit??

M3 went into production last week!

I've heard good things about DD but they did not want to do the full hood for me, I think I might go to them anyway but I was really looking for a full hood install, anyone find a good location for one yet?

This is just an fyi, but I did go with a clear bra installer based on one or two posts on a forum and I was less than impressed with the results. I would really do your research before jumping in on an installer. I am using the guy from Ferrari of Central Jersey based on MULTIPLE reviews and references. I'd recommend doing some due-diligence given the cost of a clear bra.

If anyone is looking for the guy who installs the Clear Bra's for Ferrari of Central NJ his name is Chris and his number is (973) 903-3933. I got the number and name from multiple Ferrari owners and the GM of the dealer. He is doing mine Thursday and I will let you know the results.

Chris did mine and it came out great. The more research I have done the more it seems like 3m is the way to go. I had the 24 inch hood (covers about 1 inch past the front of the bulge on the hood-1 inch towards the windshield...), Rocker Panels, mirrors, bumper, fender and behind the rear wheels. I did not get the edges wrapped.

$1200. The only thing I would have done differently is requested this front bumper:

Chris went with this one:

I'm not crazy about the split in the middle but on my silver car you can't really see the seam. You can't even tell the rocker panels are covered. Chris could have done a full hood but I really didn't feel like it was worth the money. The 24 inch hood seems perfect to me. If anyone wants to check out the install let me know.

I guy I know wants to install the 3M for me, but he didn't quote me a price yet. I'm not crazy about the line that shows on the hood, but he said he might be able to do a bikini cut so it won't be as noticeable as a straight line.

Detailing on LI

Anyone know of a top detail place on Long Island? Along with detailing, I also need a small stone chip fixed in windshield. I have an Aston Martin DB9. Thank you!

detailing dynamics in Mineola seems to have a good rep. I have not done business with them yet as my M3 in just about to get on a ship. They do appear to be a serious high-end shop and I've received postive comments on BMW, Porsche, and Ferrari blogsites.

[QUOTE=MJagent;4807405]after doing some research on the forums thanks to you guys, I decided to go with Detailing Dynamics in Mineola, NY. I was originally gonna go with an M3 but in the end went with a GT-R. I had a clear bra done, along with tints and a laser jammer installed. Both Matt and Eddie there are great guys who are patient and always willing to answer your questions -- though personally I dealt with Eddie - who is the MAN!!! the job they did was truly amazing... the clear bra installation was flawless - all custom pieces with no visible lines at any distance. If you guys want to see pics, just let me know and I will post some. I will say one thing -- if you decide to go with a clear bra for your car, do it at Detailing Dynamics! (it also helps that they deal with all the highest end cars on Long Island) --mention Eli from the forum referred you and Eddie may hook you up with a discount.

I used DD to get my car done too and I can definitely attest to their workmanship. I'm planning on getting my car detailed at the end of summer.
