Xi with staggered wheels? Is it possible?
I have a 335xi and I'm want to get staggered rims. Maybe it's just a rumor but I was told that it will mess up your ride of the car? or maybe its bad in general for all wheel drive cars?
Basically, will I have any problems if it put staggered rims on my car? |

No, you will have no problems if you put staggered rims in your car... if you like em, go ahead with it. It won't mess up your ride or anythin' so don't worry about it...

i am running 275/30 and 235/35 on 19s... they don't bother my xi... just make sure the setup you pick has the same overall rolling diameter... there are lots of charts at tire rack that will show you those numbers

My car was ordered witht he factory 18' 162 staggered. Later, I changed to the 19' 269 staggered which was done at my BMW dealer. No problems at all.

I switched to staggered only because pricing was better (purchased nearly-new 197's w/tires on ebay). My concern was increased understeer from the setup, but its effect has been negligible.

Make sure your overall tire diameter is the same ( aka rolling diameter)

It's possible to run a staggered setup, and, as others have correctly pointed out, the stock Sport PKG 18" Performance Wheel option (Style 189) is staggered.
If you want to run 19" staggered setup, you should get 235/35R19 front tires and 275/30/R19 rear tires for the best match of diameter / circumference.
