Unlock From iPhone/Apple watch

My car is due next week and I wonder if I will be able to unlock it via my iPhone, I didn’t spec comfort access. Also what other things will I be able to access on my phone. My spec sheet shows the option 6AK bmw online service, what does this include?

I watched a YouTube video of someone demonstrating it and it’s takes something like 60 seconds, so yeah be quicker to get the key out. Also as my current car has keyless entry I hardly use it, maybe once a week.. I have always preferred a button in the hand, than a special stroke of the handle

I certainly can. That said, I'm still looking for a use case, apart from novelty

Never seen the point for unlocking, but I have used a couple of times when half-way up a hill and the nagging doubt "Did I lock it?" sets in...

Comfort access is amazing, I use it way more than the remote features. As soon as I walk up to car and put my hand on the door handle, the car doors unlock like magic. Also lock the doors by tapping the handle.

Agree with others that the unlocking feature is mostly just a gimmick. Locking, on the other hand, is pretty useful for those “did I lock it?” moments, as @Vogit said.
