BMW X1 Just arrived - How do you make the speedometers orange?
Hey guys, my car just arrived but I can't for the life of me work this out. In the show room the speedometers would light up orange but I can't find a button or an option to enable this anywhere?
I even called BMW and they didn't know either lol. Does it only come on at night? Or is there a way to enable it during the day? P.S. The car is amazing btw! I really love it!! Thanks BMW and thanks "Karl Benz". Thanks in advance for your assistance guys |

All goes orange when dark, runs white in the daylight.
If you have extended lighting you can change the door cards / dash from white to orange as well. I leave mine in orange, don't like the white much & you can increase / decrease the brightness. |

Thanks mate, yeah seems like it only comes on at night, looks good though! And very impressed with the car! I'm loving it so far!!
Also regarding what you said about extended lighting, I didn't pay for that but I can still change the interior lighting from orange to white in idrive settings, so that's cool. What is door cards? |

Door cards are the panel that covers the internal workings of the door on the inside, once upon a time they door cards were made of cardboard and then upholstered in fabric, leather or vinyl. Now of course they are made of moulded plastic for the most part

I'm waiting on my X1 Xline that includes the extended lighting option.
Can someone tell what the exact differences are between standard and the extended lighting? Thanks |

I think with the extended lighting pkg, you get the LED lighted door handles (front and rear) and puddle lights, along with the ambient lighting. Not totally sure; check with your CA.
