DME Flashing/Tuning Bosch MDG1

Hi guys, while I don't own the new F090 M5 I do have access to latest PSDZ data from BMW and parsing the XML's show that the car uses the new Bosch MDG1 base DME's which has the onboard encryption. Looks like we're going to be stuck at the stock power levels for sometime.

And because bmw locks ZCP ( comp pack ) power flashes with FSC code that won't be possible.

Code:
<br>$DIF_VARIANTE: DME8.8T.0-S63T4-B44-F90-8HP-ECE-VS1---_Fzg_____________________________________</br>
        <br>$DIF_Entwickler_Kommentar: H4C99274B___________#H4C99274B_S63T4_F090_ECE_VS1_Fzg021</br>
Code:
<TOOL>SWE created by SWE-Generator 3.8.0 with config-file C:\work\171107\S63T4\data\SWE-Generator_MDG1_DS_P.cfg
</TOOL>

The only piggy back I'd trust is Dinan, or AA.

There's plenty of S63 motors blown due to piggy back. Piggy back naturally causes motor to run lean, and then run rich. It needs to fight the DME to maintain control.

I'm sure existing piggy backs will most probably work. For the M550i apparently the 2013's stage 1 was fully compatible with my car

I have a Dinan on one car and RC on another. Curious where you have read about multiple s63Tu engine failures with stage 1 piggybacks ??????

+1, plenty of tuned cars w/blown engines but have not heard of any piggys causing blown engines. I've owned two F10 M5's (still own a 15') and have run piggys on both from Day 1 w/ zero issues.

There are plenty of cars running piggys that has issues. Many has cracked ringlands or other variety of issues.

The only piggy that I'd trust is the Dinan as it's way more conservative and does not target a flat boost curve.

Issues maybe, blown engines? Many issues are with Dinan piggys btw; do a search on the F10 M5 forum.

Been running piggys for the last 6 years on two separate F10 M5's with zero issues.

I don’t have any inside info. Terry had his M5 running 25psi (stock 20.5). He now has a few beta units out being tested. A pure guess would be 4 to 6 weeks.

It’s concerning that he had a problem on a 2wd dyno with the M5 shifting into 4wd. Might not be able to dyno these in 2wd.
