While I wait for my IND black grille...

Does anyone have a how-to on removing the double slats from the front grille? I am trying to wrap it until my IND grille comes in (on order).

I can get most of it off, but can't get these three small clips up enough to remove the inner slats. Has anyone done this successfully and could you share a few tips?

Much appreciated.

Managed to remove the inner slats; however, wrapping this grille is above my skill level. Will wait for the IND grille to come in.

Thanks - how hard was it? I ordered my grills from another place - despite advertising them as the full grills they changed it to just the outer part. They have offered to refund me (so fair play) but I am concerned this may be above my skill level. Given how easy changing the entire assembly is I was thinking of returning them and just ordering from IND.

BTW they are yet to arrive.

Good luck. Removing the grilles is very easy (Open the bonnet/hood, push down on the three clips above the grille and pull). Removing the inner slats takes a bit more time, but once I had enough picks to lodge in the various grille crevices, it was relatively straightforward. Fear of breaking something was my largest concern.

Good luck!

Remove the inners in a warm room. Hot comb helps. Toothpicks help. Go in a circular pattern. Not terrible but takes patience.
