Arrow Pennzoil Ultra Platinum

Is it the best??

Ok, my question is around the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. Is anybody using this oil exclusively?? If yes, what are your thoughts?

Have you done oil analysis? If yes, results?

I ask this question, because I have seen numerous video's on uTube showing remnants of the oil additive left in the bottle!!

Yes, would definitely get the EURO versions. They are BMW LL-01 compliant.

But, was curious if anybody on the form has been using Pennzoil brand oils??

Here is a uTube of what I am talking about...

A tech on the radio said that dealerships and the such that buy the motor oil in bulk containers that the oil does settle out in layers and that quart or liter containers are better.

Just FYI, my mom has one vehicle that has been using the regular non "ultra" version of platinum since new and that vehicle is just shy of 100k on the odometer. No issues at all. And I'm pretty sure my mom wasn't letting dad know when it needed changing either. Pretty sure there where some pretty long change intervals in there.

YES, I agree that the additives fell out or separated. But, that is the major concern with using this type of oil??

If the additives falling out or separating, will result in less protection or somehow act differently while using it??

Could this be a MAJOR manufacturing flaw with this type of oil?? Producing from natural gas in-comparison to traditional methods??

This is why you shake oil bottles before use. Additive separation is not a big deal. It all gets mixed in once you start driving.

That's a good tip!! However, I'd never heard of having to shake oil bottles before adding to engine.
