Bimmerfest at Auto Club - May 26 / 27 - Track Event

Anyone interested in going?

$200 / day - http://www.speedventures.com/events/...il.aspx?id=705

Which is pretty decent pricing for Roval (Speed Ventures is running the event) - looks like 5 different run groups

I have been thinking about it. But there are going to be so many people signed up because of bimmerfest.

yeah, I wouldn't expect a ton of track time...but could still be fun since it will be mostly Bimmers. I believe Speed Ventures also has a limit to the amount of cars

I'd want to go just to check out the cars. Not to track, is that possible?

I've never been to bimmerfest but looking at the registrations on speed ventures year after year, it always looks super crowded. Also I'm not a fan of ACS as a track, hard for me to push hard there due to all those walls. Only track I still keep traction control on.

Bimmerfest is public...you don't have to sign-up for the track day: http://www.bimmerfest.com/bmw-events/Bimmerfest-2018/

Looks like there are 10-15 people signed up for Saturday: http://www.speedventures.com/events/...id=-1999998784

Like lax said, it's open to the public. I think it's 20 or 30 per car for parking inside. No entrance/ticket fees unless something changed from last year.

I'm also probably going to have my car in a booth this year so i'm not sure how that would work if I signed up for the track day :/

Anyone interested in setting up a time and place during the event to meet and put faces & cars with names? Could be inside the venue or outside at a Starbucks or eatery.

i could set something up, but if people are tracking, they will have to be there by 7. regular attendees won't be allowed in until around 9ish, if i remember correctly.

last year we met up at starbucks on milliken and 4th in ontario around 6a, then caravaned over to ACS

for the guys who are tracking - anyone gonna get a garage? if so, we should try to get garages all together

See 2 M2s on the list...semi-tempted to register.

I didn't even unpack the car from Buttonwillow (nor take out the track pads)

looks like sunday is pretty empty so far. i don't like signing up for track events until a week before because i really don't want to race in the rain...especially at ACS where there's walls everywhere. i will probably sign up to drive on sunday, and attend on saturday. i'll make an official meet up thread.

for those tracking - when you sign up, there's 3 steps we have to do to get garages adjacent to each other.

1. on the registration step asking if you want to rent a garage, pick yes and choose 1 garage for yourself.
2. where you can enter a question/comments for the event, write the following note: "I am a Bimmerpost member and would like to please be assigned a garage adjacent to other Bimmerpost members. Thanks"
3. at the day of the event, remind them if we can all be put together when you check in.

let's also get a list going for those who are going to hit the track, and on what day

Thinking about signing up for Sunday just for the thinner crowd, still not sure due to the weather though. If it's a light drizzle I might take it easy on the banks and have a little fun on the infield corners
