235/265s on stock type 162s?
Has anyone tried going a little wider on the stock (sport package) wheels? (e90, of course)
I don't like the way the oem Bridgestones look with the tread being narrower and the sidewalls seeming to stretch out to reach the wheels. Has anyone tried wider tires on the stockers? If so, how did they look, and work? Any issues, like rubbing at full lock or anything? Thanks! mandd |

Nobody's tried this?
Hmmmmm. I'm sorta chickening out now. I went in and looked at the 'specs' page and pretty much all of the 265s say the rim has to be 9" or wider. The weird thing is that even the stock 'stones in the 255 width give the range of compatible rim widths as 8.5-10. And on the car it looks like the 8.5s are wide for the tire. I can't imaging what they'd look like on 10s. Any thoughts? Thanks, mandd |
