2013 330d oil service cost

Hi there, I've just been quoted £350 for an oil and microfilter from Halliwell Jones warrington.. this is somewhat in line to what Audi stealers stung me for the a6 but still!

Has anyone had success in taking there own oil? Am I looking at 0-30w or 5-30w I've getting mixed advice. Car is under warranty and will be in there anyway for a steering rack that's why I'm getting them to do it, cheers in advance!

Same as my bro in law just got quoted for his 320d!

Yes many supply the oil and save a bucketload.

Take it to SJR Automotive in Chester sure they will give you a better price - good independent garage.

Outrageous. BMW published pricing for oil and filter change on my 330D was £175 (might have been £179).

I didn't bother with the micro filter this time.

Ask about labour only cost and buy the parts from Lloyd at Rybrook BMW in Warwick

I think the oil I bought from BMW was 0W 30 but not sure. LL04 is the standard, I think BMW use Shell now instead of Castrol

Thanks I'll bell them tom and double check for the oil, maybe I'll let them mot it too and steal another £20 while I'm there!

Booked in at Halliwell Warrington on Thursday.

Value service Quoted £377.86
- Oil / Filter
- Microfilter
- Air Filter
- Fuel Filter
- Standard Scope (Whatever that is)

Also then what they decide to 'try on' on the day.

Just for oil and microfilter was £225
